Growing up I moved around the world living in South Africa, England, Sweden and Canada, and I just moved to Vancouver which makes city number 10! I have a unique background in that I am a Registered Kinesiologist, but have had to make a career change as the result of a severe athletic injury to my knee. Promoting physical activity is important to me, and since graduating from university I have specialized in exercise prescription in clinical, community and hospital settings. I have been able to witness firsthand how exercise can positively change a person’s quality of life. I am excited for my new role at TeamPages and for all the new skills I’m going to learn. I look forward to working with the close knit group of people in the office and for all the new TeamPage community members.
What do you hope to bring to teampages?
I am a very driven and hardworking individual. As a sales development representative, I hope that my desire to succeed will be very advantageous to the success and growth of TeamPages.
What is your favourite sporting moment as a kid?
When I was five years old my parents were away in England and I was being looked after by my grandparents. My grandpa took me to the field hockey shop and allowed me to pick out my very own field hockey stick!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my boyfriend, family and friends preferably doing something active. When I’m not injured I love playing sports, and I’m an avid field hockey player. I will, however, play/participate in any sport that presents itself to me, time permitting! If I’m not playing sports I love to hike, go on adventures and explore new places.
You recently moved to Vancouver, what are you looking forward to most?
I am most excited for all the adventures and hikes that are so readily available. I’m looking forward to going on camping trips and hiking to the peaks of several different mountains, and one day I would also like to do a kayaking weekend adventure.
What is your favourite sports quote?
“There may be people who have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.” – Derek Jeter
